Best exhaust ever!!! The fit & finish of this product is amazing. It costs a bit more than other alternatives, but the craftsmanship is flawless. The sound is deep but not over-bearing such as D & D exhausts. If you can afford just a bit more; these pipes are highly recommended!

Nice work, and you will appreciate the 20 pound weight savings.

Did you add a Power Commander, custom fuel map, and remove the secondary flies yet?

Hey Darryle,

I really like the dual exhaust presence of the 14 with the right cans. Not to mention, I purchased the Kawasaki extended warranty for an additional 4 years of coverage which would be voided if I opted to install the needed power commander of the 4-2-1 exhaust. It sounds great and runs smooth as silk without the need of a power commander. The Akrapovic slip-on are designed to run with standard mapping. Thanks for your inquiry.

Hey ZXRyder11,

I have done some reading on this forum and it appears it is necessary to install a PC when the flies are removed. Is this correct for the 2010 model year?

I am considering on installing Ivan's IRT-008 and having the flies open early (according to Ivan's website) which would unleash some of the hidden power. I thought this might be the route I take because it is easy to install and remove if I need to have warranty work performed. Your thoughts?

To gain the full potential from your slip-ons, get a PCIII or PCV, a custom dyno tune fuel map, and remove the secondary flies.

What you want to avoid is a lean or rich fueling condition. Talk to a tuner about optimum air/fuel ratio's, and what damage you can do to your bike if you AFR is incorrect.

I have Muzzy carbon fiber slip-ons, PCV, custom fuel map, and removed the flies.

Here is a my dyno sheet:

I have done some reading on this forum and it appears it is necessary to install a PC when the flies are removed. Is this correct for the 2010 model year?

The 2006,2007 model years had a lean spot around 36 to 3800RPM when flies were removed. On those year bikes the fuel maps were for a much slower fly opening rate, so allot of fuel not needed with flies in. The 08 and up have a much faster opening rate and more fuel add by kawi.

So,,,, your call. Pull Flies. No PC Needed. Or pay for 300 dollar tune and 275 for PC. 575 lots of doe ?
